Ireland’s leading independent network integrator and cloud services provider, Agile Networks today announced its participation in the latest episode of RTE’s ‘DIY SOS’, hosted by Baz Ashmawy.
The team at Agile donated a number of Aruba wired and wireless network devices and gave of their time, free of charge, to network the Guihan family’s home so that they can all enjoy high-speed, reliable wireless internet for education, streaming and communication.

Commenting on the episode, Kenn Larkin, CEO with Agile Networks said:
It wasn’t simply a case of installing a basic internet router and extending coverage throughout the home. The Agile team took great care to deliver a full networked solution.
1) A predictive wireless survey was conducted using Ekahau site survey software to quantify the number of access points required and to ensure full coverage in the house.
2) A new comms cabinet was located in the attic. Telecoms cables were re-routed externally and internally with assistance from other contractors. All new CAT 6 cables were installed and connected to each access point. Kirby Group completed the on-site cabling on site for the whole job including the electrical re-wire of the house and garden.
3) We supplied and fitted a new home network, consisting of a 24-port Aruba Instant On PoE switch and 4 x Aruba Instant On Access Point AP12s. All devices were donated to us by manufacturer, Aruba Networks and local distributor, Data Solutions.
